thank you Ian, it dosent have a truss rod or anything fancy like yours but its a 30 scale and all. only two strings so i dont thing it'll bow any. it plays real nice . in fack ive been having a blast and I dont know anything about playing bass. i like the olive oil cause it makes the neck feel natural not sticky like some polys and varnishes . i use the light virgin stuff , smells good too ;)
Looks great Antonio! (I had to take a peek cos I've just built my 1st bass) good tip about the olive oil and steel wool, will try that, I use Danish oil, its great but possibly more expensive than your trick!
oh yeah , if i had one of those i would have used it . I had four of these and all the other stuff i scrounged off that git. I just use what i can . I 'll try one of those on my next one. but i notice guys use those also for regular cbg's so im thinkin they might work either way ? I doubt my hearing could go below 20 hz frequency responce anyway so it worked out for me. thanks again for the tip. i will snag one of those p bass pups up for my next one.
Ok, why not, if it's find for you no matter for me....., but you know i put P-Bass Humbuckers, but on CBGitty they sold exellent Bass Humbuckers at 5.99$ and they work fine !!
first of all thank you all humbly, i appreciate the input and kind, honest words. im new to this so i love the progression . Thank you Scott for all the help and info i Really learn alot from you . weather I express it or not thanks. Fernal. it is a regular coil o scavenged off a pawn shop git. i go around looking for junkers but em for 20 bucks , get pups, tuning machines jacks pots doo dads like strap holders . so yeah its a regular pup. it works fine for me. sounds good to me . i turned the pup so the poles lined up with the strings when i layed it out. ? i dont know if that helps but this thing sounds great. Ah , Rickey. Oak, my favorite of the woods the grain patterns are no accident, i cut off my necks depending on the grain , so i get what pattern that will show the woods great beauty. I love oak. thank you kindly. I dont put anything on my necks but oil, olive oil, little at a time like the other stuff and polish it im with steel wool. they feel like glass. or so ive been told. i only put shellac on one neck and hated it . its the one vinnie got .

Sweet grain on that neck. I use oak so much I think I sometimes take for granted what an attractive wood it can be.
yum yum
