    I'll have to play with decoupage (gluing on paper then sealing it with varnish, etc.). My daughter is always wanting me to paint the boxes I give her and the results are always pretty poor. Maybe decoupage is the answer. I can try on some odd sized cigar boxes until I get it right. The one you did with the brown paper bag with the "cracks" motif cam out looking good.

    I used 11 herbs and spices... Believe it or not, it is actually just a brown paper bag...

    The boxes look good, too! What's the finish on the brown box with the "cracks" motif? Seems you have a good workshop as well.
