Wanted something that could use up those leftover high and low E strings. Currently set up as a double course diddley, but may change it to 2 separate strings. Not sure I like this one yet.

Thanks guys. Yes it is a bit sharp, but seems to be working out for how I rest my hand - right behind the bridge. Kind of a booby trap if somebody else picks it up though!
I like the double course sound I'm getting, but with the piezo, the high string is too dominant. I'll experiment with this some more.
I like those square head screws too Lane, I found mine at a junk shop I go to, haven't seen them anywhere else, but I bet they could be found online...
I've got a couple more of those church keys UJ, I think I'll be using them again..
Pointy or not, I like the look. A double course diddley would be interesting. The head shape on those screws works really well. I need to look for some of those.
LOL, Jerry. Yup. And I have a lot of big E strings too.
Back in the day before poptops, we called that pointy thing a 'church key'. Hanging here beside me in the den on a key ring is my dad's Army dog tag, church key and switch key. (railroad switch key - he was a switchman).
Handrest looks a little pointy.,,.might wanna call this one "stabby".,.i see a bloody hand in someones future.,.,I know what you mean, I have about 170 low E strings and maybe 150 high E strings left from builds.,,.what to do with a bunch of .008 strings ??? not sure I want to build 150 diddleys.,.,good idea here .,,.i do like this build.,,.
