I was aiming to make a three stringer which could be plugged in but was predominantly acoustic. I found a couple of old German made 35mm photographic slide boxes which I used to build this and the Rat O Caster. The sides are very solidly built, but the top and bottom are thin and very, very resonant. This sounds great unplugged.
