UJ is correct, I've done a few of these player to amp conversions and the speakers in these old record players are TONE MACHNES! I'll see if I can find a pic.
Thanks UJ.,,Thank you Wes.,.,I may want to pick your brain later about what circuit to put in here.,.,ancient transistors were not real reliable.,,.I wish it had tubes instead.,,.its so heavy I think there is a giant iron core transformer in there for power.,,.the speaker magnet is fairly small.,,.the unit states it's 35 watts.,.,pleased so far.,.,
Tested the speaker and it sounds crisp and clear.,,the electronics light up, but no sound.,.,i'll crack it open soon to decide whether I fix the circuit or replace it.,,its so crusty its beautiful.,.,

Seems like those you to hang in the school classrooms. I think Maddog has made amps of similar. Good wishes on a great one.
