Thanks Dave! I love the old plates, Keith Alan form Houston is sending me an old Texas plate. It's in the post offices hands right now as a matter of fact :-)
Thanks Maddog for the info. I've got a heavy wood socket set box that will be my first victim. And a nice old Texas plate. Summer will be plate time....
You've got me hooked on wanting to make a license plate guitar. I've got a nice few plates. What's inside these monsters? Is the plate free to vibrate or does it sit on the neck trough board?

Thanks James!
fine looking guitar !!!
Thanks Pick, Jim, Wes, Dave and Richey!
Dave: The plate has a small cavity between the base and the neck but I have to leave quite a bit of wood inside to support the 6 string neck.
Mostly an electric, with the humbucker the whole plate acts as a pickup though. :-)
Richey: Back in the 60's we were the Beef State, we still are in my opinion. We do have a LOT of corn too though :-)
Maddog. Damn dude you've done it again. A highly desirable guitar. I thought Nebraska was 'the cornhusker state' though?
Man you make some beauties Maddog! Real nice setting too.
another maddog yumyum !!
