Definitely agree with the Fun and Therapy comments, one of my main aims in builds is to make them as cheaply as possible, (I'm a Life Member of 'The Cheap Arse Club') using recycled timbers, tins and Chinese Ebay hardware etc; the sale price of my builds doesn't apply to me, as apart from the few I gift to friends & family etc, I keep them all, a problem "I" might need Therapy for !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can build simple or go crazy with radiused fretboards, adjustable truss rods, top of the line tuners and pickups, switches, separate volume and tone pots, pearl inlays....there's no end to the levels that you can build to. For me, my cost in materials is usually close to $50. Most of my builds, I've sold for around $150
Ah Jerry, I have that argument with myself all the time. My wife says I don't charge enough and I agree but I do want to price stuff to sell at the craft shows I go to. I try to have a variety of instruments at various prices. Lots of folks like what they see but can't afford one of my $200 fiddles so I have other builds similar to yours that I can sell in the $65 to 85 range. I also make beer can canjos that sell well at $35.
These bridges work as advertised, but I must admit I only used one out of peer pressure. I sell my fretted piezo powered builds for $65 and I see lots of builders who won't sell a build for less than $250...If I want to buy another builders product and he wants $350 plus shipping I have to build and sell 8 CBG's to pay for the one I want...so I'm just experimenting with chrome hardware and box bling .,.The most I ever sold a build for was $88 and it was a fretted doubleneck.,.,so I'm on the fence so to speak.,.do I build expensive boxes or continue with $65 builds.,.and I could really rant about $1900 CBG's.,.,:^)

Fun and therapy are good reasons to be in it!
My materials run me $15 for a $65 sale. I admit I'm in this for fun and therapy, not fun and profit.
