2 x 4 and relic box

Sometimes I like to use a 2x4 scrap for the neck. This one and others are one piece and cut to shape.They are thick enough to make neck bow less likely and I honestly think they give better acoustic sound.I had fun using the torch on this one to blacken the wood. It had good sound, but a buzz in the big string. (tuned GDG). Some messing and a screw to hold down that string took away the buzz.

Thanks, guys. It is pretty good. I have it on the 'improve pile'. It's good enough that I want to add metal frets.
