Yup, like Keith said. You can save the nice, vintage box face (top) and cut a sound hole on the top -the side looking up toward the players's face.
You could put the sound hole, on the top side, towards the neck. If you want to keep the front clean.
This is my first CBG, it turned out pretty good, especially since I didn't know what I was doing! The sound is sound, but I'm still debating on putting a hole, or two, in it.
