Brent, I hear you re. fancy... I just don't care. I admire 'em but just don't care as I have a bunch of fancy guitars. I like the simple stuff. Nice re. the bolt tuners! Nice! Concrete nails... that's a new one for me! I have about 3 or 4 more ideas I have to work with eventually, got lots of parts. One thing I'm nearly ready for is using the p.a. output of an old cb radio for an amp... duct tape the mic permanently in the "on" position... and load it into a box for guitar :) -or ditto but inside one of my stomp box cases. HA! Gotta play around some. Then I want to do my own version of a Lowebow, and really must build a fretted (nails) cbg which is really over my head. Also eventually a 3 stringer with nylon strings. Little by little here. I also have an old Panasonic speaker (about an 8" woofer and 2 3 in. tweeters, all linked up as a 2 or 3 way... whatever it is...) and have already wired that up with a male 1/4 in. jack for either a speaker cab for a Smoky amp OR as a stomp-box (just lay it down and kick it. howdy brent--to answer your question about glue---i hardly ever use it cause i build each guitar in stages,with out use of glue i can get them set up to play good first then take them back apart to further the progress of the build such as maybe adding electronics or changing something i dont like and it helps to develop the guitar more better it seems to me any how.it takes a little longer doing it this way but it still takes a lot less time than if i was to wait for glue to dry,so i can build without using glue,i have even built at least 2 guitars without even using screws or glue(box to neck joining that is) i have a video of a punch guitar that i played a little tune on then took the guitar apart in a few minutes to show that it had no screws in it. have a good holiday season, brent.
howdy brent,its not really a secret, about the de-soto las cabrillas box,this is the first one i have seen like this too,its an older box made of solid wood and i got it on e-bay exactly as you see it. the top is one solid piece 1/4 in. thick with no seams and the back is one solid piece 1/4 in. thick with no seams and the back was nailed on so that tells me its an older box. the newer ones are laminated wood tops and backs that are about 1/8th in.thick.if there is any secret its that i look at a lot of boxes--several hundred and maybe put 10 of those several hundred in my watch list and maybe only buy or bid on one or two of them. i just recorded a sound check vid of this guitar loadin it on you-yube and will post it here after its loaded,check it out if you get the chance,its got good tone acousticly and great tone amplified.
as you can see i decided to use copper instead of the other half of the toaster i cut up for the 3 stringer.thanks for the comment brent i appreciate it sir. i prolly gonna do a video sound check on the padron copper reso so folks can hear it.thanks again brent.

(dodge) I have not replaced the plugs! did drop the fuel tank, cleaned out-replaced the inline gas filter and the fuel sending unit, in gas tank=200$,...it worked a week--thot I was in the clear! LOL....almost like it is dropping a beat, so your idea=plugs, low cost, and surely a good one. I've replaced, rotor, airfilter, pickup coil, dist cap.....fuel pump/automatic shut down relay switch, I think oil pressure, new gas cap..., my Bro tested alot of elec sensors, too....(he's a brainiac, lucky for me)....going to post to a dodge forum, soon....will try the plugs, cannot hurt!
