I've been attempting to build a ruby amp, but has passes the point of being worth it, so I was thinking about getting and Artec SDA-T amp board from CB gitty to use instead. I was wondering what you guys though about it, and if there's any way to ta
If I pointed my amp's speaker down so it's facing the carpet, and i then played some loud riffs on it, would that damage the speaker? I'm curious about what it would sound like.

Okay I have two single coil pickups, with individual volumes, and no switch too choose between them.
I turn one around and reverse it's leads.
And they're both going to the same jack.
Would this work, and would it be constantly humbucking?
Pretty self explanetory, my ruby amp starts motorboating when I turn up the volume. The setup is crammed inside a small speaker cabinet, and the pc board is fully soldered but the rest of the connections (volume pot...) are all with alligator clips
I decided to try and build a ruby amp as my first build, but i encountered a problem. In the schematic for the ruby, theres a wire that's labeled "in" that goes to the first pin in the transistor and I thought that meant the positive from the input
I have a 4" speaker I would like to make a nice little TUBE amp out of. But...It's my first amp build. I don't know if tubes will be more difficult than solid state. I'm looking for volume and overdrive as the controls, but tone and reverb would be n
I've decided to make my own pickup but I don't really have the right setup for pickup winding, so I was thinking if I could use already magnetized pole pieces without any winding. is this possible?
Is it possible to make a humbucker that only has one or two pole pieces? I'm making an electric foot drum like Ted Crocker's Terraplane Floorboard and the pickups I have installed the prototype are buzzing a lot and I don't really want to use a full
My Regular Guitar amp doesn't have two inputs so I'm gonna build an amp for my soon to be finished stompbox. I need a schematic for something that is simple. Just and input and volume. But... I need it to have some good bass, mainly because I have a
Do Piezo's and potentiometers have to be grounded? and also, is it possible to have a guitar and a piezo foot drum all using the same input without them being wired directly? ( by which I mean a cable comes from the guitar to the foot drum then to th
