I need to replace a flatpup that was sadly damaged by my own careless mistake. I am very sad about the damage because it was the last pickup I got from Dan Sleep before he passed away :-(

Does this wooden skirt around the neck joint look too weird? I'm thinking maybe so. I added metal straps after notching the neck too deeply and weakening the neck (pitch was bending like crazy), and now I want to hide the straps.

I will never trust sharpies again! I used a red sharpie to touch up the red trim on a vintage White Owl box. Now the Sharpie ink rubs off on everything, including the clothing of the person holding the guitar (me)!
