So I've gotten some sound holes from Gitty, but I want a kinda in-between size that is hard to find.
As you can see in the attached pic, I have the big pretty 2" monsters, and the little small ones that are, I think, about 1/2". But I'd really love something in between. The 2" ones are just too big for most typical cigar boxes, and the little ones are ... well, kinda little. Something closer to between 3/4 and 1" (inner diameter) would be great, but I am not sure anything else I see from Gitty is gonna be quite right.
I'd gladly get some kinda screened flangy whatever thing at a local hardware store to use as a sound hole, but I've been unable to find any little parts of hardware even remotely close to what would look right.

Copy in any size ,draw on box, and cut whit hand saw or nife.
Mark, I just ordered some 1 7/8" outside diameter (about 1" inside) grommets from Gitty. There is no screen on them, but I like that look. they are listed under grommets and bushings page two. #32-104-01 for nickel and #32-101-01 for brass. I'm putting one in a Punch box build, and it seems about medium to me. I hope this helps.
To be fair, a 1" diam soundhole is perfect for a standard cigar box. The bigger the hole, the higher the frequencies the box top will transmit, all else being equal. Smaller hole focuses the lower brassier freqs.
And if this is the same git as the mag pup, does it really matter?
Understood, but the inner diameter is smaller. I'd like something just a little bigger. Maybe 1.5" outer diameter.
