Right..I WILL sort out some players' workshops. Don't worry about the standard of your playing, because I go right from basics, as I believe that even if you can already play a bit, it won't harm to review your approach. I'll have a look at where people are located and where I can get cheap (or better yet, free) venues.
Shout out if you are up for this...I need a bit of an idea where to run these in geographical terms. Cost will depend on number of participants, room hire and distance from my base in the West Midlands. Expect prices to be in the region of £25-35 for a half day course - if you've had guitar lessons you'll know that will only buy you an hour or so tuition with most teachers, and this is a pretty specialist field.
This won't happen until the New Year, as I'm very busy with another European tour, several guitar making workshops and orders to fulfil before Christmas, but hopefully I can making some plans and setting some dates.
Here's one I ran a while back (film courtesy of Ralph Cardall)
put me down please Chesterfield area
ChickenboneJohn just as a starting point what should I be trying to do to learn to play ,, before your player workshops ,, any tip or pointers please
If there's enough demand I can run a player's workshop in your area. I've been busy with my "make and play" workshop, so it's about time I did another.
Hi John I have now made 3 CBGs following your tutorial day
Would love some lessons........East Anglia area
Chickenbone
I would be interested in players workshop but i am an absolute beginner, I would not like to hold people up.
Do you have any make and play sessions planned in the East Midlands ?

Sorry cannot help, like you I build CBGs but cannot play. My son taught himself to play traditional guitar using Justin.Guitar.com, but he is more musical than me.

If anyone In Nottingham knows of anyone offering lessons I would be interested.
