Hi Folks,
I'm looking for a basic spec from which to build a Lowebow, but mainly:
what are the three pickups and how are they wired? Separate bass circuit and amp?
what gauge strings and height of action?
etc ... plus any other info you may think useful.
That is about it for now, any info will be gratefully received,
Cheers,
B-) Bri

well, after this w/end (boxstock) i can see a whole lotta these getting started....i'm putting out a few feelers.did you see 'roadkills 'bow on friday night...very cool,
Yer, they certainly are cool machines, Jabes. I've just made (a sort of) one with the same stringing but there the similarity ends and I'll put up a pic when I'm happy with it. The better news is that I've just bought a real one from John Lowe direct! Good to meet ya Saturday, by the way.
Yo, Mr MacB. Didn't notice any Queens miself, but there again, I should a gone to Specsavers. B-)
LOL, Mr Blether. BTW, just realised what "build" you guys talkin about. Nice, and ah'm a future buyer, to anyone building one :)
Who did Roadkill bow to?! Was the Queen there, Mr jabes?
Gary,
Derived from a normal cigar box by John Lowe and Richard Johnston, it has one bass and three normal strings, the link shows Richard Johnston playing their iconic creation.
