  • Hi thanks for the replies very interesting cheers tinker
  • i use a Boss SE-70 for use in recordings, the best sound effects unit i've ever found (must get another one!) and all the time in the world to fiddle with at home, but playing live with effects pedals upset all my volume settings and i was wasting time messing with the knobs, i found if you have less to fiddle with the easier time you'll have, no frills just quickly set the amp, plug in, quick soundcheck and go!  There are more experienced players who use pedals but you really have to know your stuff! (-:

    There are many amps that have their own built in effects, much easier to use and more than you'll ever need on a stage, less is more! (-;

  • I also have a ZOOM G2 pedal, and it is great.  I have the model without the side pedal bit, so I can't comment on how useful/necesssary it is.

  • I just use my Roland 30w Cube ......

    got everything i need..........

  • just add some overdrive/distortion and reverb that pretty much does it. a bit of tremolo can add some depth too.

  • I have a Zoom G2 pedal, which is a very clever little box with a load of preset settings and control over lots of different aspects like delay, reverb, phase, distortion, cab settings etc. which are all done in the DSP. I've enjoyed using it because of the range of effects you can create - it's like having a load of effects pedals in one package!
