Build in progress (first build)

Hey CBN,

I'm currently working on my first two guitars with a friend and it's proving to be a little more difficult than I originally anticipated. With your help, I'd like to make this discussion an excellent documentation of my first build. I'll be uploading pictures of my current progress, tools, and designs. Though I started my guitar last night, I haven't gotten too far into the process and should be able to document most of my steps. Finally, the internet maybe a great resource, but I'll be posting questions, comments, and ideas along the way so that you guys can add personal styles or preferences.

Thanks for the help you guys, I'll be uploading more later today.

    It's raw, it's original, and it's bank-of-the-Mississippi REAL, man. Twig as a nut - Can't get more folky and po'boy than that. And it looks like you chose a good, deep Ashton box for acoustic work. Hope you can let us hear that twanger.

    hey guys, I acctually finished my first build, but It's kinda junky and rushed. I've got a few pics of the process and I'm taking finishing pics today. Ill upload them in a bit

    Tuning pegs are the hardest to find. I just picked up a bunch today at my local guitar shop for 10 bucks. They were a bunch of random ones he had in his parts bin behind the counter. I have used eye bolt tuners in the past with some success, but most of the time I swap them out for tuning pegs. Good luck, can't wait to see the pics. Word of a advice, for a first build, keep it simple. Check out some of my vids on here, they might help.

    Good job, that was the most expensive part on mine, the tuners. The rest was free except the strings. Take lots of pics for future reference, inside and outside the box.
