I've been wanting to cover this song for a while. This one tells the story of a 1903 train wreck that happened in Virginia. The song was originally recorded by GB Grayson & Henry Witter but it has been covered by dozens of country & folk musicians since. After the song, I give a brief history lesson about the actual event if you're interested.

Thanks Doug and Derek. I really appreciate you guys tuning in. It is a fun song with a great history.
Banjo playing sounds great on this old classic, Kale. Fine story telling. Grayson and Witter have an extensive catalog. I have stumbled across them while finding different versions of old tunes too.
A Kazoo King Kale Kover … Kool! I always look forward to your Sunday songs, and you did not disappoint. Great variety in songs and instruments. Well done again!
I agree. Old country and western tunes really put the focus on telling a story.
I like a song with a good story.
Thanks John. It's such a great song.
Good morning, Kale. A million and one. But still good. Well done.
