WOW Jon you're really steamin' along on that 4 string! ...your cold gives you an edge! Had a terrible sore throat on the "so drunk again.." song...haven't sounded that good since it got better (-;
Thanks everybody. I don't normally post cover songs, but this is one of my favorites. Of course, I model my version after George Thorogood's, as I am partial to it. (You may have figured out that I am partial to the Thorogood version of just about any song....)
I'm not particularly proud of the vocals. The cold I've been fighting for the past few days really shows up on the high, sustained "Who do you looooove.." parts. But, I hope you enjoy it, anyway.
Actually it was ... Quick Silver Messenger Service. The Doors did a nice version as well, others include ...Soul Inc., Juicy Lucy, The Woolies, George Thorogood, Blues Magoos, Blues Project, Dion, Rory Gallagher, Santana, The Thunderbirds, Grateful Dead,The Misunderstood, Golden Earing, Ronnie Hawkins, Rolling Stones, Bob Seger, Patti Smith, Magicians, Yardbirds, UFO ... to name just a few and of course the great Bo Diddley who wrote it (one version with Ron Wood). Many of these are on YouTube if you want to give a listen.

You set a great driving rhythm on that and the voice fits right in. All works really nicely.

Always happy to see your face on the video page. Slide clinic. You've got Georgie T.'s song down pat.
