Just for fun, I decided to make a little ditty on two of my favorite homemade instruments. They are the pizza paddle bass and blue 2X4 lap steel. This was just an improv session but it ended up sounding pretty cool, so I decided to share it.

  • Thanks Doug.

  • Glad you shared this one Kale. I could tell you were having fun. It’s hard to top playing instruments you made yourself especially when they sound as good as yours do!!!

  • Thanks Derek.

  • This is super, Kale! Toe tapper and well played on both.

  • Thanks Dave and Rope. It was just a little improv but it sounded pretty good. Glad you fellas liked it.

  • Cool indeed! That was smooth, sounded good. Sounded like it could fit right into one of them old Troubadour instrumental records from the mid 60’s!

  • Oh Kale, don’t convert that wonderful bass. Find another paddle for your three string build.

  • Ooh that’s nice Kale. Loved your western swinging. You Texas music man. Might be my fave Kale.

  • The pizza paddle is just screaming out to be made into a guitar isn't it?

  • "WOW", that is some very cool Bass Pickin' & Lap Slidin' Poorness, in my opinion your best to date, most enjoyable!, love the Pizza Paddle build, brings back fond memories of a similar 3 String I built some 6 years back, which I still have stored away in one of my sheds, it was one of 6 Camphor Laurel Pizza serving trays, brought home by my son, that were being discarded at his workplace.  :-)
