  • Thanks for the info on what strings are on this baby...sounds great
  • Andy, I usually tune D a d so I use a 12 as the top d string - a 14 as the a string and anything from a 46 to a 52 as the bass D string
  • Hi Brian,What are the thickness of those strings on that cbg..?what numbers are they from in a set..best wishes
  • Man that sounds wonderful.   Great tone and playing.   Came out great.   My last build was the prettiest red 2 string - a beautiful box.  I sprayed it with polyurethane and the colors leached.   Should have used shellac.
  • "Send the Blues Back Home"
  • Looks and sounds great - Hope you haven't suffered any permanent injury.
  • Thanks for the comments - it makes the pain worthwhile (almost!).  @TC I hate doing split necks like that but this box was strong enough to take the stress.  Sorry about the CD's Chris - which reminds me I lent some of my blues collection to someone and he hasn't given them back yet! Grrr!

@Brickdust - yes I mark along the edge of the neck so you can't see them from the front - makes you look really clever!

@HB - I didn't dare say it myself just in case!

  • must be from hell it sounds hot
  • Well, it was worth all the self-traumatisation: a great sounding geetar!
  • Some of your cds are at an odd angle in your cd rack.... it upsets my OCD. I hope they're in alphabetical and then sub chronological order....

    Oh nice guitar too.
