    good feeling *,..,* !!!

  • Owl, Hohners are good, especially for beginners and you don't have to pay a lot.  I think the six to ten buck ones are fine.   I did that song on a Hohner Blues Band, which I think is pretty cheap.

Some good harp players like Lee Oscars.   Pretty pricey.  I have one and it's good.   Some like Suzukis.

Lots of cross harp teaching on the net - cross harp is the typical honking wailing bluesy thing.   A place called the Jack's Harmonica page has some good straight harp instruction - where you play melody.   That style is my main stay.  If I practice some more I might improve to so-so.   Harp is fun.   Try it, man.

  • Hey RTZ, thanks!   One of the first songs I ever learned was a Jimmy Rogers song.   Good idea to look back in on Mr. Jimmy.   Have written it down and will try to get to it.   '

Right now, I  have two songs ready to do with Linda Lou if they meet her approval.  One (which I wrote) may not.

Will go check on Mr. Jimmy.

  • Nice John I could hear the wagon train clanking down the trail when you were done. May I make a request sir that I think is made for you. PISTOL PACKING PAPA by JIMMIE RODGERS or any JIMMY SONG you may know. And clean up the shop whats wrong with you.
