Kind of you, thx. Yep, I've fallen in love w. nylon strings, little uke vibe w. slide in particular but also fingerstyle blues. So many projects large and small but I have all the parts, soprano ukulele fretboard and another rod piezo so one of these days Lord willin'... Plan to work a couple such tunes into my live set. Ok, back to office clean/cbg wall hang-up work... organizing... -Glenn
Lovin' this Poorness! Pick's right, I stuck a rod piezo into an el-cheapo uke, swapped the strings so thicker 2 are the low ones (both tuned unison) and middle thnner, lightest at top, tuned A A D A. Playing fingers or slide (pvc conduit no less!) sounds COOL via any amp I've used. Enjoyed this, keep it up and be safe! -Glenn
Bring that jar of fuzz to the medic tent here at the festival, must check for safe fuzz! Who knew nylons sounded good off legs! What do I know, I’m Californian! Making good use of your house arrest Poorness, a creative dude you is! Hump days forbidden on the nude beach, grass skirt or not!
Nylon strings actually play/sound pretty well. My only complaint about them is they stretch A LOT when they're new. It takes a long time to break 'em in.
My first cbg build I put nylon strings on after I noticed some bow from the 4 steel strings after a few years. It sounds good with gain and other effects and kept it playable for hopefully the long haul.
A Pick, I was actually going to throw a slide in there to get really weird but the action on the Hobo Fiddle is pretty low and so its not easy to play w/slide. You're absolutely right though. Slide works fine on nylon.

That they do! It helps to get the ties and wraps as tight as possible, since a lot of the stretching the slipping at the tied ends and posts.
