Ever lay in the grass when you were a little kid on a warm, sunny, spring day? Remember how soft, cool and lush the grass felt? You weren’t worried about pesticides, getting sun burned, coming down with allergies, bugs biting you or stinging you, or even ticks and lyme disease, LOL. While lying there you’d stare up at the sky and look at the beautiful, puffy, white clouds…and imagine. This is my latest lil' ditty jam. This one is for Springtime 2018.Day #332 playing strings...warts and all.

Thanks, Richard. I'm glad you liked this. It's weird, I was into hard rock my entire life, but when I pick up the CBG, something else comes out of me. I have alot more tunes coming. I think my next one is going to be on my new reso. It's a completely different animal to play though...using thumb/fingerpicks. The tune I wrote on it is almost finished though...and I really like it. Practicing it alot now...we'll see...
Having some issues with this Brickhouse git in the video above though. Fortunately, it's behaving well in this video. Intonation is way out. I have it in somewhat, but it's not there yet. And...my Brickhouse box is a box within a box...there's a small box inside of the outer box that fits snug. My inner box started loosening up, and it started creating this horrible vibration once I started playing hard. It sounded like a blown woofer on a stereo. Anyway, I had to run a seam of epoxy around the entire perimeter where the two boxes met...letting it seep down into the gap just a tad. Upsettingly, it slightly dampened the tone of my git, but that horrible vibration stopped for good. I just have to play harder now to get more volume.
I'm thinking of getting a 4-string Ibanez tenor guitar. I love my CBG's, but I want something "stable" also, LOL
This song took me to a far away place! Beautiful playing Snuffy! Dreamy playing, very well crafted, and no bugs, allergies, ticks, etc. Your playing each time takes a large jump toward excellence, crank out some more, loved this! Was there an essence of bagpipes?
Uncle John, we discontinued the decoder whistles. We've switched over to decoder bagpipes. They're extremely difficult to play though and no one seems to be able to decode anything with them. Not to mention they make strange accompaniment with a CBG (they mix like oil and water). What sucks is the special surprise gift was going to be an bagpipe, but not a decoder version. And most folks don't want two sets of bagpipes (unless you're Scottish). Meanwhile, I'm working on the membership card...
Thanks guys. It has it's tiny flubs here and there. I wish I could play perfect, but I just CANNOT. I have alot of ideas I want to get working on, and am kinda backing up with them. I'm just gonna plug through them all. Maybe somewhere down the road, when my chops are more refined I can come back and revisit some of them. I love playing clean...love fingerpickin' too. I also really enjoy having fun making these little iMovies. Glad you guys enjoyed the little jam.
