Yup. I've been piddling with 6 strings over 10 years and would rate myself a 6 or so. Put me on 3 strings and I think I am around 7.5 - and higher on some songs. Less is more for us, Buddy.
No bass John. I'v been struggling with 6 strings for about 50 yrs off and on. These 3 and 4 strings are easier for. The 4 string in this video was bought from Humidor Guitars and plays as good as the $600 Gibsons I have. Its amazing. Dan @ Humidor is building me a 3 string now.
Ive learned to play a lot of my lead licks on the top string and let the other strings ring out. It almost sounds like I can really play. LOL
