It's cool to be doing this...and even better that I'm not having to do the work on the day!! Malcolm Wright is running the workshop for HGMC; he built a guitar at the Boxstock workshop last year and this year is spreading the word himself. This sort of thing is also helped by people like Robin from Busker Guitars who donated loads of machineheads FREE for these kits, thus keeping the costs down.
HGMC have just applied for a grant to be able to do more of this stuff in schools. Whether we get is or not is another matter...competition is very tough for the money, and we are up against a lot of experienced people who make a good living out of lottery-funded and community based projects (crazy, but true)...results announced 15th June.
