Flatpup, pickup, magnetic, violin

This entirely handmade cigar box violin is equipped with a brand-new magnetic pickup system for bowed instruments, based on the "Flatpup" magnetic pickups.

thanks a lot! The interaction between the top mount pickup and the iron coin was ok, but weak. The innovation was simple: sticking a magnet to the coin. That counter-magnetic field boosted the output.
I'll make a pre-series and hope to find test pilots ;-)

thanks for your comments! My buddy Chris is playing it in the video, he is the new owner. compared to violin n°1, this fiddlr sounds a bit less bright. We might experiment with other soundpost positions. The magnetic violin pickup works fine; we will try some different effects on it
