Imagine (Child Of War)

John Lennon 1971 "Forgive me John"I spent a few hours making this and for the first time didn't enjoy a second, but I convinced myself to do it. I got the pics last night avoiding any disturbing pictures, and figured out the song this morning. It's a very honest recording just my paint lid reso and a few mic's. Should of done a few takes.The things we accept as the Human race shows we are truly the Bungled and the Botched. But the world keeps turning and as time passes people forget and life goes on the best that it can. Peace

  • Thank you Steve. The long And Winding Road.

  • GREAT JOB RTZ..................

  • Thanks Nancy, I wanted to put just enough reality to grab the viewer but not freak them out.
    No one wants to see what war weapons do to people and ANIMALS let alone children.
    I have done so many vids now I'm losing track of the song I have done, but this subject should concern everyone.
  • Rtzy this was very well put together!! Thanx for not being to graphic ~ Vocals are right on even hit that high note!! Yup hard to watch those pics and not feel sad for all mankind or the animals just imagine what happens to them I can't even think about it~Meeowwwwwwww^^
  • Thanks Folk,

            Sad doesn't come close to the way I felt getting these picture, those are the images that stick with you. When I edited the vid I had to throw out some picture that I thought were to graphic for this.

    I don't know what you call the feeling of seeing a soldier holding a injured Child or what is going on in his mind.. No Words.

    Children have, of course, always been caught up in warfare. They usually have little choice but to experience, at minimum, the same horrors as their parents—as casualties or even combatants. And children have always been particularly exposed. When food supplies have run short, it is children who have been hardest hit, since their growing bodies need steady supplies of essential nutrients. When water supplies have been contaminated, it is children who have had the least resistance to the dangers of disease. And the trauma of exposure to violence and brutal death has emotionally affected generations of young people for the rest of their lives.

    Recent developments in warfare have significantly heightened the dangers for children. During the last decade, it is estimated (and these figures, while specific, are necessarily orders of magnitude) that child victims have included:
    •2 million killed;
    •4-5 million disabled;
    •12 million left homeless;
    •more than 1 million orphaned or separated from their parents;
    •some 10 million psychologically traumatized.

  • Hmm.  Just read Wes' comment.   Sad.  There seemed to be much more hope when this song came out.

  • RTZ, articulately played, sang and stated.   My right eye is leaking.
