Mmm interestingly enough I actually prefer muting with the strumming hand but find with 3 strings doesn’t feel as good as with a 4 string ukulele. So when I’m playing cbg I mute with the left but when I’m playing ukulele I mute with the right hand. I also have a dean ML guitar (awesome axe) that I only have 4 strings on, tuned gdgb but I never play the b string!!! It’s just there to give me something more to strum through - it’s a 6 string guitar tuned to an open g but I only play the 3 gdg strings ha - the habits we pick up.

Hey, I can kind of do that left hand muting. Good, I never did well with the strumming hand mutes.
