  • I like the camera angle better on this video, can see your mountain banjo better. Fretless with friction pegs. Quite "retro". Nice playing. I likes old timey mountain music too. You did a good job playing that tune.

  • thanks for the kind comments,

John Im still working on my voice but glad you liked it :-)

Go for it Bear... you'll never regret it fretless banjos are totally addictive

Hey Night Owl sounds awesome... i'm hoping to head for the states sometime next year maybe and check out the old timey world.

  • Wonderful playing and your voice works so well with the sound of the instrument. Very nice indeed.

  • I always wanted to make a fretless mountain banjo, but somehow never got to it. Your banjo and playing are inspiring me to want to try again!

  • My hometown is the epicenter of old time music. The Round Peak style was developed here. The Mount Airy (North Carolina) Old Time Fiddlers Convention attracts players from around the world. In fact, the BBC was here in 2009 and recorded the festival for radio broadcast. You would fit right in. I love this style of banjo playing.

  • super....

  • 999% excellent, Johnny!

  • really enjoyed this Johnny, many thanks! (-:

  • that was meant to say 99% as 999% is impossibbble...
