Cool memory Kale! I was living in Arlington, Texas at the time my parents played those old records: Tom Landry, Don Meredith, the Cotton Bowl, and tall antennas to catch Cowboys games on TV!

Thanks Uncle John and Derek! This is one that has been in my mind for a while, but I didn’t know the song title and only remembered a few pieces of the lyrics. My parents played it when I was growing up and seemed like a perfect Guitarslinger song. I got lucky when I decided to try chasing it down on the internet. It’s not hard to play, but it is long. I need to listen to the other songs from the album it was on, there are probably other songs I would recognize. I don’t remember if I saw Honky Tonk Man, but I have seen my share of Clint Eastwood movies!
