  • Kurt, you can find the chart for El Paso in the CBG Main Songbook 400.pdf which is a free download here: cbgslinger.com

    Enjoy!

  • Anybody know how I can get a hold of the chords they are playing for El Paso

  • You recognize the genre of days gone by James. Thanks for listening!

  • Good one Doug love a good Western song!

  • Cool memory Kale! I was living in Arlington, Texas at the time my parents played those old records: Tom Landry, Don Meredith, the Cotton Bowl, and tall antennas to catch Cowboys games on TV!

  • This is great. I remember my dad listening to Marty Robbins records when I was younger.

  • Thanks Uncle John and Derek! This is one that has been in my mind for a while, but I didn’t know the song title and only remembered a few pieces of the lyrics. My parents played it when I was growing up and seemed like a perfect Guitarslinger song. I got lucky when I decided to try chasing it down on the internet. It’s not hard to play, but it is long. I need to listen to the other songs from the album it was on, there are probably other songs I would recognize. I don’t remember if I saw Honky Tonk Man, but I have seen my share of Clint Eastwood movies!

  • Always liked Marty Robbins. Another good song from the group, Doug.

  • That wicked Felina!

Marty Robbins on CBG!   Good job.  Remember the little six string he would play?   He played a musician in that Clint Eastwood movie Honky Tonk Man.  Good movie.
