Year of Jubilo was composed by Henry Clay Work in 1862 , not 1872 as I said in the video. I’m sure Henry won’t mind…I made the banjo I’m playing here. Tell me if this doesn’t belong on Cigar Box Nation and I’ll remove it.

  • Thanks A.D.!

  • "GOLD " Lappy a fine clawhammer  ! classic play !

  • Thanks Poorness, Uncle John, Brian, T-Belly and AGP for all your kind comments. I’m glad you enjoyed the video.

  • Some mighty fine Banjoin' and Harpin' Lappy, and as BrianQ says, any type of homemade music is fine by me! :-)

  • I did skip the surmon but Diamond Joe had me tapping my foot ;)

  • Mighty fine banjo!! All homemade music belongs here, period! Good to see ya back around Lappy :)

  • Truly good, guys.   That's not the Diamond Joe I was thinking of, but it sure is good.   I like it a lot.   I am used to you being really good on stringed inster munts.  That harp is mighty fine too.   Super nice ho-made banjer.

  • A fantastic performance! I've been practicing clawhammer every once and a while. I'm still pretty bad at it though. BTW, thanks for the announcement before going into the sermon. I respect everyone's beliefs but I appreciate that you recognize it's not for everyone. Once again... great job on the banjo playing.
