  • Merci, Phillip.

  • love it, what a nice voice...excellent feelin...good perfect rhythm...°<[:-) [---]==={...

  • That's why I need at least 3 ukes Unc. One for each tuning and one tuned like a mandolin. The mando tuning really extends the range but again you need a different set of strings. When I try to explain these things to my wife as a justification for multiple instruments I get to see her famous rolling of the eyes!

  • Thanks Jim.  I tried the low G tuning using standard uke strings.  I see what you mean about more guitar like qualities.   I may get the right strings to do that tuning.

  • Thanks Wes,RTZ,Matthew,Shane,and Uncle John. Yeah Unc, low G means the uke is the standard g,c,e,a tuning but the g string is an octave lower so you don't get that re-entrant sound which I like. Melody lines are a little easier because you don't have that high string where us guitar players figure a low string should be. You usually use a wound 4th to do this. These are Aquila strings made for this tuning.

  • Good song and great performance, Jim.   Like that uke.

    Hey sir, what is low G tuning?   I just put geared tuners on a soprano uke.  Like it a lot better now.

  • He's not just a great builder folk. real nice Jim.

  • that was just breath taking, love your voice and man can you play!
