Thank you, James! I struggle to make this git sound good. It doesn't have the sustain I want. Speaking of which, does anyone know anything about "sustain" boxes. I'm wondering how this git would sound through one?
Thanks Derek. It's not necessarily a "healing" thing...as it's moreso a possible "surgery" thing at this point. What's going on with my neck...spinal stenosis, arthritis (osteophytes), and two badly degenerated discs....sucks bigtime.
Hey Richard, yes, I crossed the one year threshhold of playing CBG now. Crumbley Dean came from Keith Crumbley and Richard Dean....Keith built my reso...Richard rebuilt it, LOL. Both of these guys are responsible for my reso. I sent links to both of them, and didn't hear a peep. I think Keith was offended I had Richard overhaul it, and not sure what's up with Richard. Ah well. It's an imperfect animal...doesn't "ride" as nicely as my red Brickhouse CBG, but it has it's purpose I guess.
I played for the first time lastnight (in over a month). I'm just taking more breaks now, so I don't tighten up. I have another "reso" tune I'd like to get on video. It's more mellow than this tune. We'll see how that goes...I need to get my mojo back...little rusty now.
Your official, over one year and listen to you! Does the title have meaning? Welcome to senior citizen status, now you have to play good, and SS, you do!
Thanks, Dave. Getting old sucks! Doesn't it? And BTW, I just got my AARP card the other day. Discounts!!
Andries, I'm hanging in there. I have one other song, I'd love to get on video. We'll see.
Thanks, Uncle John. The new reso is pretty, but it's a PITA to play! I have to use picks for any volume, as my naked fingers just don't cut the mustard. The picks are crazy and take some getting use to.
