Today's Sunday song is a little bit different. This is combination performance and lesson. I teach you how to play this great Leadbelly tune with just 3 chords (D, G, & A). This song has been covered by many people but I think there's always room for a few more.
Intro - 0:00
Song - 0:59

Thanks for checking it out AD. Fun song to learn.
thats a other way of doing 3 in one, well you got your twangy twangy one out this sundag its allway a geush whits one you remember doing this at first, dont know about Leadbelly ,im thinking more like TOM Jones or one of his piers Engelbert Humperdink cant remember ,you played it again whit your usual spunk !
Thanks John. I believe it's a 23" scale so it's a similar stretch to a C chord on a CBG (when you're in G-D-G tuning).
I like Mr. Belly's version and yours too. Well done. I love that little inster munt. One of those chords - the G, looks like a pretty long finger stretch.
Thanks for checking it out. A dulcitar is traditionally tuned D-A-D so most CBGs could qualify but that doubled high string gives it a little different sound.
Nice instrument, good job, sounds great!!! I got me a dulcitar, sorta,
Thanks Doug. I too thought the dulcitar just really worked for this one. It's kinda twangy but really folky at the same time.
Definitely a classic Kale! That dulcitar has just the right amount of twang. Well done! The Slingers busked this one for Street Music Week recently. Happy Sunday.
