Here's an offshoot of a project I'm doing with Park View Business & Enterprise School in Birmingham, making guitars in a day with 12 year olds ...and this is the prototype that I used to demonstrate the process of building to the teachers..I've taken it and tricked it up a bit (woodburned fretmarkers and paper collage decoration)...and used it as a 'mule' to test out combining magnetic and piezo pickups. Big thanks to Robin of Busker Guitars for donating the machineheads and strings for this project.

brilliant John. Spreading the word to the youth of today. Inspirational. I'm guessing you didn't turn up for your school CRB check looking like a Russian Battleship Captain though...

Oh my word, its uncanny. No longer the Godfather, but Our Beloved Leader.
I thought the look was more V.I. Lenin / Soviet Baltic Fleet Submarine Commander.
Смело товарищи в ногу,

Вот наш девиз боевой.
