Bits from Yesterday's busk in Cambridge. So good to play there again and meet up with other buskers. It was my first chance to play one of my home made sax things with anyone else, which was great fun : -)Still a steep learning curve getting it to sound right and working out which songs it can fit into, and of course learning how to play it! Thought I had the sound levels worked out, but I think it sounds different each time I tape the pick up onto the reed, which is a bit confusing?! It ended up louder than it had been when playing at home the day before...I thought I had filmed another long bit of me on my own, but it was off when I thought it was on, and I ended up with just a 4 sec video! Thanks Banjo Nick and Andy for the jamming and chat : -)#banjonickrambles #andrewclewlow #cigarboxguitar #homemadesax #minisax #PocketSax #busking #Cambridge

Thanks Doug, absolutely! I have missed both being out busking myself and going to see gigs. We're on Boris's "roadmap" out of lockdown. I have everything crossed that a new variant doesn't derail it and we can get back to whatever the new normal is going to be...
thanks John, I'm feeling my way with it. Ideally I would have spent longer with it before playing it to busk, but having been shut away for so long I didn't want to waste any time!

That PVC sax is awesome. I have no experience with one of those but I made a PVC didgeridoo recently and it sounds really good.
Thanks Dave

Way to get out there and make it real! Nothing beats live, nothing!!! Well done.
Pretty cool that you are playing that saxy thing so well after such a short time. Fun! That put a smile on me.
