this is my 1962 Vintage Kay TRUETONE VANGUARD w/ original DeArmond Pickup. i got it as a beater with the scruffy paint and a broken / smashed pick guard . so dont shoot me yet for hacking up a clasic .. everything i added to this can be "undone " it can be sanded and brought back to original easily .. there are actually only 2 screw holes that would need filling the rest were reused . the compass and thermometer are hot glued on and can be removed easily . and yes , that light lights up , there is guts from an electric flickering candle in it .the aluminim thing that holds the volume pot and jack is a vintage belt buckle ,, the volume knob is the dial off an electric frying pan . tailpiece is a trunk strap fastener .hope ya like her .. she sounds great dirty too ;-)
