"If you’re doing neck-thru with the open side of pan up,wich I recommend.  then you haven’t anything to worry about bcuz you’ll be mounting pickups in the neck body. With that said I would use anything you want "

"Metals of all types can have effects on pickups either for good or bad. Even non magnetic metals can have an effect on the magnetic field, you just have to try it out and see."

"You’ll want a warmer sounding pickup to offset the bright sound that bed pan’s gonna produce. Try a flatpup style or juke shack from C.B. Gitty, they’re pretty affordable & sound great. Good luck on your build "

String buzz

Still trying to fine tune my first build, i have string buzz/rattle and the only thing i can come up with is the angle from the spoon i used to hold the end of the strings to the bridge is not enough, i have raised the bridge quite a bit but buzz is still there though less. I have tried a steel bolt, brass bolt and a bit of marlin bill and they all produce it.. so before i change how/ where the strings attach i thought i would ask for other ideas on what can produce  buzz/rattle. . ThanksSee More

Everything, love the sound, love the idea of reusing mateirials. Am hoping i can learn 3 or 4 string easier than a six string guitar. It should go well with my blues harmonica playing
