  • Thanks Bluesheart

  • Very nice work!!

  • I could hear you doing Sgt Friday on that last line. Good luck with it - look forward to hearing it!

  • Thanks for all the great tips Jim. I'm putting skin on in the morning. Glue free. Just the tacks, man...
  • Yeah AGP. It happens like that sometimes. This is my third banjo in as many weeks. Ukes and CBG's in upcoming weeks. The wood top vid is uploading as we speak.

  • Looks like Banjo building is the flavour of the month at the moment Jim (and Dave), be interesting to hear how the Birch top build sounds, downloaded a 6 part video series from Utube (Block rim construction by Richard Brown), a couple of years ago (and bought the band type clamps), on how to build a 3 ring Banjo bowl similar to what you've done, but! it's still on "The To Do List", your 1 piece ring build looks like a lot less work.

  • It's actually a heavy clear tape. You could use regular duck tape but with clear you can make sure each joint is closed up correctly.

  • Appears to be duck tape! I knew it! Then the band champ!!!!! Coolest!
  • Sorry, I thought I had a vid but all I could find was these pics. Might help a little!
