Thanks John, your words of encouragement have been treasured! I hope she's a good player too. I reinforced the inside but not too much to take away the tone(I hope) and I have put several very light layers of poly on the box. It was a bit old to begin with and has a few dings in the top but hey man, it's a cigar box after all. I think with a mag pup it will play great plugged in but I want it to sound good acousticly as well.
That is just sooo good looking. Like the box, fretboard, wood diamond under the saddle and the wood panel under the control knobs. I suggest that you preserve and protect that top from wear damage. It's too pretty to nick up. Hope it's a good player.
