Eliminating any potential duff components. Battery is brand new and just unwrapped. Speaker just taken out of a working cassette player. My head being scratched haha.

Not a problem Dave. Managed to get it working with a different Kemo unit and very happy with the volume from the speaker. I removed the speaker from an old radio cassette player from somewhere around the 1980s. It’s rated at 1.6w and 3.2ohm but really loud for my ears, and that’s before I’ve got it in any enclosure.

Hi Jerry and Dave. Not far off from getting it to work and should have sound in the next few days. I’m a long, long way off finished build results though but will be posting a video once I get there. I‘m doing a similar build at the moment - same amp, but with a 2“ speaker. Disappointed with the lack of volume, but have only tried with a direct piezo pickup as input. Interested to know your results!
