  • We seem to do best in Town Hall gigs and just for fun at one of our houses. Dennis and Stephanie have a great barn workshop to play in. Very good times had there. Karin and Tom's house in Duluth is our mainstay as well as the Red Mug Coffee House in Superior Wisc. every other Monday. Can't get enough playing with my friends. It's very important for me.

  • Thanks, Dave.   Sure looks like fun.

  • Uncle John, ya that's a very nice washtub bass made of wood like an old time washtub. Dennis Hansen made it for Stephanie (his spouse). It's mellow and powerful. Dennis is playing his home made mandolin (seated next to me). Karin Kraemer is on a Martin uke. Tony Adams using his box guitar as a drum. I'm playiing one of my reso classical guitar conversions. I'm playing Hobo's Meditation (Jimmy Rodgers, 1933). I did "You're going to look like a Monkey when you get old", "Homemade Music" and "Snowbound" (two i wrote). We do a mix of covers and original tunes. Jug band mostly, bluegrass, old time country and folk. We get together at least once a week.

  • Now you have a lap dog.   Oh, looks like a washtub type bass in the back with the CBG.  Oh, and a uke.   Yup.  Satisfy my curiosity and tell us a few songs that you played.
