  • I hear what you are saying.  Red cedar.  Hunh.   Pretty stuff.

  • Uncle John,

... this is the first build I made using Red Cedar for the finger board and am very satisfied with the results and the price I pay from the supplier for this type of wood.

  • Uncle John.

thanks for the kind words.... it has a fret buzz at the 11th fret which will have to be worked out by Wednesday evening; a friend is driving up from Macon to buy it.... like yourself, I have way too many CBG's sitting around collecting dust.... sometimes I just cannot bring self to part ways with some after they are completed and played.... right now, there are 15 cbgs, a Fender Strat & Tele plus a dulcimer in my shop that meet the "can't part with" criteria..... over the past Holidays I gave away 2 CBG's to the teenage daughters of another friend, as both are aspiring musicians... seeing the smile on their faces was worth every penny and moment spent putting those CBG's together...

  • This is SO pleasing.  Sit and gaze and look at the details and wood tones.....    Wow.

I have way too many CBGs.   I need to gift some away..    I intended to just have and play my own builds, but I have several now from other builders.   Gifts or trades.   But this one tempts me.   I'm glad it is not a four because that would tempt me more.   I hope Shane sees this and makes it guitar of the day or week.
