The "Downright Upright" wine box bass starts with a wine box, it's disassembled and glued back together. The nails are put back for effect.
The Top: "A" braced with spruce , 7mm thick. The tailpiece: Large door hinge with leftover Rosewood fret board rivited to it. The bridge mimics a standup bass. The neck is plywood and shaped like a standup bass, large veloute, with a very heavy radius on a mystery hardwood fret board. super low flat frets and Rotosound Nylon Flat Wound strings. Lipstick tube pickup mounted to the end of the fret board. Loud enough to play with Cigfiddles or plugged in sounds just like an upright! Mr. James Noughton purchased #3
