    I like those tunings too. C is my old home key. Carter family inspired. I sing good in it too.

    actually i like C a lot for these instruments, I tuned mando to C G D A and Banjo to same ,but also tune to CGCE...

    Vinnie I'll have it good for both. This guy likes finger style. It makes pretty notes. Right now its tuned in C (CGCG). It's easy on the strings for a starter tuning. Thanks Jim.

    I like it low enuff for chords ,and good fingerstyle...If I can play slide on it,thats cool,too..I call it combo ,but error on the fingerstyle side..
