  • I'm at a loss with this one. Sounded great when I first built it. Big sound, monster low end. The box up and DIED!!! ZERO sustain. Absolutely nothing had changed- intonation remained good, just went from good sound to a very weak sound. I took it apart, put a better radius on the neck and sealed it. Cut the box so the fretboard would travel into the box about three inches, and get more height on the strings. Went to a bone bridge. More angle on the strings from the bridge to the tail... Zero improvement. Thinking about tossing the box or at least pulling the neck and electronics to use in another build... make this box into a wall hanger.

Anyone ever have a box give up it's sound before? Am I missing something?
