Close up of the head. I am using an old tin matchbox to clad the head with and some Kluson style machines for this three string acoustic. The neck is highly figured Cocobolo, and I am considering not covering it with a fretboard and just cutting the frets into the Cocobolo.I would love your feedback on my progress so far, it's highly appreciated.

Thanks HB and Wes, I explored the whole idea of using a baseball bat for the neck but it just didn't work out with the wooden bats I was able to find. I'll keep that idea on the backburner! Some might not appreciate cutting up an old antique Jack Daniels match box tin, but I'd rather see that thing in all it's glory up on stage than in some cabinet with other dust collectors. I agree, the colors on it are really 'ol timey lookin' and REALLY go well with the neck wood. Hopefully it will be done by the years end. Please let me know what, if any, little things I can include in the package for your wife and girls that are uniquely American, it would mean a lot to me. I thought of some Bird of Paradise flowers that are all over the job site I'm currently working on, but I'll have to look into shipping of flowers to the U.K..
