I guess the next thing you'll build is a guitar stand for you "corner-mounted-neck" uke. I think it will fall over a lot more than CBGs with the regular neck orientation. I guess that's also one of the justifications for putting on brass corners on the box. It will probably need them. I like both of these instruments. I used to try to build short neck CBUs, but somehow I always end up with diatonically fretted instruments, even easier to play than ukes.
Maybe dolphins for "F" holes. I was looking at this photo when that idea came to me. I was checking out your ukulele with the corner mounted neck. Nice design, and different (good) look. The square sound hole, too.
I see the neck flares out beyond the fretboard the closer you get to the body. Does this interfere with playability, especially with the upper notes / fret positions?
