Two string gourd bass full view

Two string gourd bass made from a free gourd, broken tambourine, 2 tuners from a 4 string build, E & A string from a 4 string build, scrap bone nut, bridge is left over piece of fret board, and the neck is a cut-off from ripping a mahogany board into full size necks.Fretless 29" scale 1-7 tuning A - G#.Mellow tone, low volume need to add piezo.

  • I'm working on a two stringer gourd git right now too...mine will be pretty different though. Much smaller gourd for one thing. :-)

    I am planning on using a broken tambourine head too.

  • Not yet, had my son bring up the bits and pieces from the shop.

    Yes, the head is from the broken tambourine. Would have been MUCH easier to stretch using a new hide!
